Years 4 to 6 serve as the consolidation stage, where students strengthen the foundational knowledge and skills developed in Lower Primary. With three years of prior training, students are now prepared to extend their learning, deepen conceptual understanding, and build readiness for the transition into secondary education.
The curriculum structure remains consistent with Lower Primary. Students continue with the core subjects, English, Science (Cambridge Primary), and Mathematics (Singapore
Maths) alongside Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia. The Humanities Programme, encompassing Geography, History, Art, ICT/STEM, Music, and PE, continues to mirror IPC-style thematic learning and interdisciplinary exploration.
During this stage, teachers design a range of purposeful and progressively challenging learning activities that reinforce essential skills while introducing more complex concepts. Through thematic learning and interdisciplinary project work, subject teachers collaborate to help students connect ideas, apply knowledge across subjects, and develop a coherent understanding of broader concepts.
Students further advance their literacy, communication, scientific inquiry, and mathematical reasoning. They also begin to demonstrate greater independence in tasks such as extended writing, research, and problem-solving. The programme continues to emphasis personal development, with students practising core competencies such as empathy, collaboration, responsibility, and reflective thinking skills that support both academic success and social emotional growth as they prepare for secondary school.
