In 2017, a group of parents, concerned about Malaysians' hesitation to adapt to the 21st-century education system, formed a team determined to revamp the Malaysian education system for their children. Thus, LUCA was born in the same year. As LUCA was new at the time, the team had to work around the clock to gather information and data, figure it out, and develop a plan that would greatly benefit the students. Through perseverance in understanding education, the team realised that "Education is life impacting life" and that learning is a lifelong process.
Cambridge IGCSE serves as the basis for LUCA's educational curriculum. In the meantime, we are working towards our goals by putting our "LUCA Values" into practice, as LUCA provides much more than simply a standard academic curriculum. LUCA invests a lot of energy in supporting its teachers to deliver 21st-century learning skills, ultimately striving to nurture students with the 4C’s (Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity) through the application of 10 Learning Core Competencies and 13 Subject Thinking.
LUCA prides itself on high academic standards, but we are more than this.
